I know I usually only post once a day, but this story was too good not to share!

Today was a strange, but wonderful and, now looking back on it, humorous day. We had heavy fog, but that didn’t stop me from horse back riding, and taking the foggy pictures that you have all been commenting on today.
I drove up to northern Wisconsin; there is a property that I visit right on the bay. I love this land and always feel closer to my Creator during and after spending time there.

I watched the Packer Game, which was very upsetting…yes we finally won. I was just getting ready to watch the Cowboy and Eagles, (which I really wanted to see the Cowboys get their butts kicked) when my cell phone rang. It was an elderly friend; we will call her E for this story. She and I have become friends over the last few years. I help her from time to time with errands, chores and whatever she may need.

E was frantic, almost to the point of tears. I tried to calm her down and after several minutes of excited conversation I established that her car had been stolen. She and one of her girlfriends, which I will refer to has D, had driven to a local establishment in Freedom Wisconsin, about half way between the location I was at and my own home in Appleton. They had been watching the Packer Game, having lunch and playing bingo, which pretty much describes the Sunday activities in the whole state of Wisconsin, in the middle of winter.

She asked me to come and help her; she didn’t know what to do! So I drove over to the location and found the two ladies walking around the parking lot, looking for her vehicle. It was no where to be found.
I phoned the police, and we filed a police report. E was so upset, “I just filled the gas tank, and they are probably to Chicago by now.” She exclaimed.

I tried to soothe her, but nothing I said seemed to bring her peace. So I drove her and her friend back to her condo, they both live in the same community. I fixed them some tea and we began to chat and laugh about the stolen vehicle. E was feeling much better and she asked me to bring some more soda in from the garage. She stores it out there and it is difficult for her to bend down to get the 12-packs. Of course I was happy to help her.
I opened the garage door and there sat her car. A little dumb founded I asked the two woman to join me, making sure it was her vehicle.

E and D looked at each other amazed, the E said, “You know I didn’t drive after all, D you drove didn’t you?”
D responded, “Oh my Gosh, you are right, I drove.”
So then E said, “Jo you call the police back and I will drive D over to get her car.”

“No, you aren’t driving this car anywhere. If you take it out you will be stopped by every law enforcement officer in the area. I will call the police and then I will drive D over to pick up her car. You just relax."
I call the police and cancelled the stolen vehicle report; I then drove D back to pick up her car. When we got to the parking lot, there weren’t too many cars left. I asked, “Which car is yours?”

“Oh, it is that one over there just let me out. I have my keys with me right here.”
I pulled up to the car, it was the same car we all leaned on while filling out the police report. I kid you not!
I waited until she got into her car and drove home shaking my head.
