  • Autumn...........

    Today, the sun seems brighter
    than it did before
    as soft rays sparkle
    on a gold-red floor

    Come the breeze
    of autumn’s nearing,
    the grays of winter
    ‘yond her clearing

    Warm sunflowers,
    and mums bloom
    Topaz skies,
    in evening loom

    Passing days
    of summer’s fleeting,
    rains be gone,
    imminent sleeting

    Geese to South,
    in formation, soaring
    Our last reprieve
    of nature’s glory

  • August 1st.................a day to relax.....

I have always felt that you should celebrate the first day of summer by doing as little as possible.  August, sweet hot and lazy August.  This is the time when most summer vacations are over, the company has gone home and the next holiday is associated with the start of a fresh new school year.  I use to love the commercial that showed the parent skipping down the store aisles, collecting back-to-school supplies and singing the famous Christmas song…”It’s the most wonderful time of the year…”

So today when my niece asked me to watch my three year old great-niece I could not turn her down.  We splashed in the pool, laughing up the sunshine, played with my dog, ate watermelon, and then watched Thomas the Train.

She reminded me that childhood is so magickal.  Bill Vaughn once stated, “A three-year-old child is a being who gets almost as much fun out of a fifty-six dollar set of swings as it does out of finding a small green worm.”  This is so very true, a three-year-old, and other aged children can find the magick and beauty in almost anything.

So for  magick and imagination I dedicate this poem to my 3 year old niece…thank you for helping me find magick in my life today…thank you for being my muse today and thank you for helping me enjoy the first day of August.

Do you remember those summer days
When life was about the games we played
When cardboard boxes made castles strong
And we'd fight battles the whole day long

Our swords were fashioned from sticks with care
For slaying the dragons in their lairs
And bicycles were our valiant steeds
    Imagination filled all our needs

Those were the days when our cares were few
And we bragged of the dragons that we slew
A band of knights wearing tennis shoes
Who always had bubble gum to chew

Sometimes I long for those simple days
And the innocence with which we played
And battles we fought with no blood spilt
In the Camelot that childhood built

  • I am your muse...............

    I am your muse
    For you to use
    Make love to me
    With your rhyme
    My flesh, your canvas

    Breathe your words on me
I want to feel every line
    Tickle my fancy
    With tip of pen
You can write what you want

    Love, Hate or sin
Spill your ink upon my breast
    Fulfill my desires
    Quell my restlessness

    Tell me your fantasy
    Or a tale so tall
    Just give me your words
    I need them all
Each line as traced upon my skin

    Is a new sensation
    So let’s now begin
    I'm ready and waiting
    This is the time
    Come, make love to me
    With your rhyme.

  • Love, finding that right person..........LOL

    8522

Perhaps one of life’s most rewarding and yet challenging experiences is looking for that special partner for life, a soulmate a term we so often hear.  What drives this quest is a mysterious desire to be deeply connected to another human being in the bond of heartfelt love and passion.

    8332

We want to know the joy of caring, sharing, giving, receiving and growing with a special someone.  We hope for the security of faithful, unconditional love waiting for us at the end of each day and welcoming us at the beginning of the next.  Finding a partner can give us a wonderful warm loving feeling, completeness within and the solid courage to fulfill our dreams.

The popular romantic elements, candlelight, flowers, champagne and chocolates, all enhance a courtship and set the stage for the never ending love we crave.  But the question many people want answered is how to find that very special someone.

    chocolates

When your heart tells you one thing and your head tells you another, to which do you listen?  How can you help someone fall in love with you? How can you be sure that the person is the special one for you?  Can there be more than one “Mr. or Ms. Right?”

These are all questions that necessitate a momentous thoughtful consideration.

As you move toward adding romance in your life, or if you are already on a romantic path, perhaps you are prepared to take that step, the ultimate commitment, known as marriage.  Seek the knowledge of others and take heart, look deep within yourself and ask for guidance from our Creator every step of the way.

As we learn throughout our relationships, those that are fleeting as well as those that endure, “it is a beautiful necessity of our nature to love” (Douglas Jerrold).  We can all be thankful for that great and profound need.

    Interesting thoughts for today..........I have a couple............LOL

The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the males head off.

Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.

A good place to meet a man is at the dry cleaner. These men usually have jobs and bathe.

Getting rid of a man without hurting his masculinity is a problem. "Get out" and "I never want to see you again" might sound like a challenge. If you want to get rid of a man, I suggest saying "I love you... I want to marry you... I want to have your children." Sometimes they leave skid marks.

  • Sleepless Nights...........of you!

Hark, my love, how the winds do blow
The night is filled with the sound of voices
To listen is madness, this I know,
But sometimes a woman has few choices.

The candles sputter, the fire dies,
The hour grows late and long.
I should return to my bed, where respite lies,
    Instead I sing this song.

Oh, my love, do you recall
How we walked hand in hand?
With me so light and you so tall
How we quartered the green growing land.

And, my love, oh how we’d dance,
    So effortlessly transported.
    And cherished every smiling glance
    As if recently we’d courted.

The candles sputter, the fire dies,
The hour grows late and long.
I should return to my bed, where respite lies,
    Instead I sing this song.

Hark, my love, how the winds do blow
The night is filled with the sound of voices
To listen is madness, this I know,
But sometimes a woman has few choices.

  • I just wanna.............

I just wanna be your dream come true,
holding hands as we walk in the sunset.
I just wanna be your angel from above,
And the one you'll never forget.

I just wanna be your first thought of the day,
And the one you call when you can't sleep.
I just wanna be the reason you're awake,
And the one you'll always want to keep.

I just wanna be your slow, good-night kiss,
And the one to give a hug when you need one.
I just wanna be the one you confide in and believe in,
have fun with, have faith in and always rely on.

I just wanna be your breath of fresh air,
And the one you can't forget when we're apart.
I just wanna be your I-think-this-is-meant-to-be:
And one you hold close to your heart.

    What do you want?

  • She simply loves him.........

    He never sent her flowers
    she never seemed to mind.

Yes he said “I love you'.
and she was always on his mind.

They never went on a honeymoon.
she never bore his son or daughters.

    Never wore his ring;
    he'd never bought her one.

    They never had a wedding,
    never took the marriage vows,

    yet their unspoken oaths remain
    unbroken even now.

Though no display of signs external
secret love in each their hearts,

    still, betrothed and bound eternal;
even death will not them part!

  • A Valentine Repost..........hugs to all......

If you knew what I know about the power of

    generosity,

you would not let a single meal go by

    without sharing it!

On Valentine's Day a wrinkled old man sat on the bus seat holding a bouquet of beautiful red roses.  Across the aisle from him sat a young woman.  He had seen her several times riding this bus and her eyes always looks so sad, locked to the floor.  She rarely made eye contact or smiled.  Today however she kept glancing at his bouquet.  Again and again.

The time came for the old man to get off the bus. He stood slowly, holding tight to the rail over head and the bouquet of roses.  He paused in front of the young woman.

"Here." he said. "I can see that you love these roses.  I was taking them to my wife, but I know she would want you to have them."

The young woman smiled and replied, "Oh, I couldn't.  What would you tell your wife."

The old man looked down and smiled at the young girl, "I will just tell her that I gave them to you, she will understand."

"Thank you and tell your wife thank you, will you please?"

    "I will do that."

The young women gave a delightful smile and watched the old man get off the bus...and walk through the gates of the cemetery.

When we have the opportunity to help anyone, we should do it. (Galatians 6:10 NCV)

    Happy Valentines Day!
